Red Dragon TCG

Our story

From hard-won sourcing lessons to UK collectors

Red Dragon TCG exists because Simplified Chinese Pokémon deserves a UK shop that treats authenticity as seriously as collectors do – including the mistakes we already made for you.

Inspecting seals on authentic Simplified Chinese Pokémon sealed product

We learned what fakes look like

Resealed wrap and remanufactured Collect 151 Surprise product is real. Authenticity marks and how the light splits on them are part of how we inspect stock before it reaches you.

Trusted traders, not faceless lists

We work through traders we trust, with a Chinese-speaking friend helping us communicate and verify. A sourcing trip is on the roadmap – honesty about how we buy today matters more than a story we have not lived yet.

UK-focused, deliberately

We serve UK collectors first. One delivery region, one tax jurisdiction, no customs guesswork. You know what you pay and when it arrives.

Why we started

The shop we wished existed when we came back

Like a lot of collectors, we grew up opening packs, then stepped away when life took over. Coming back as adults, the UK market felt narrow: English at rising retail prices, Japanese at import premiums, and not much in between.

Simplified Chinese was the discovery. Japan-printed cards. Sets from Sword & Shield and Scarlet & Violet we had missed – still in print, still affordable. Product lines that do not exist in English at all: Collect 151, Gem Pack, gift boxes you simply cannot buy on the high street.

Getting authentic sealed stock is harder than the listings suggest. We have bought resealed product and even remanufactured Collect 151 Surprise slim and jumbo stock put back into packs – you can catch it on the authenticity mark when the light splits the wrong way. We made those mistakes so you do not have to.

We now source through trusted traders, with help from a Chinese-speaking friend who caught the bug with us. Clear set codes, honest stock states, and UK delivery without the customs lottery – that is Red Dragon TCG.

Why Simplified Chinese?

The UK market talks plenty about Japanese and Korean – less about Simplified Chinese, even though it is one of the strongest value plays in sealed Pokémon right now.

  • China-only sets you cannot get elsewhere

Collect 151, Gem Pack, Terastal Gathering gift lines, Paldea Magnet, 30th Anniversary First Partner sets – real product lines built for the Chinese market, not watered-down reprints of English sets.

  • Catch up on eras you missed

Stepped away after school and came back as an adult? Simplified Chinese releases cover Sword & Shield and Scarlet & Violet sets you never opened – often at prices that make completing a binder realistic, not a second mortgage.

  • Japanese print quality

Simplified Chinese cards are manufactured in Japan on the same premium card stock collectors prize – crisp holos, tight centring, and a feel worlds above budget-language alternatives.

  • Serious value vs Korean and Japanese

You get Japan-made quality without Japan-import pricing. Many boxes land well under comparable Korean sealed – and miles below what you would pay chasing the same artwork through Japanese imports.

  • Underserved in the UK – for now

Most UK shops still centre Japanese or English. Simplified Chinese is where Korean was a few years ago: authentic product, thin competition, and room to build a collection before the crowd arrives.

What we check

Real inspection photos will land here as we document seals and authenticity marks. Until then, read the guarantee and ask us anything.
